Messages and calls are routed through multiple hops, with end-to-end encryption active by default.
Six layers of core infrastructure, built so that only you and the people you talk to can read your conversations. Not even us.
Multi-layer routing that masks your IP address and physical location from every node in the chain.
Your identity is a cryptographic key pair known only to you. No central registry, no recovery backdoors.
Future-proof encryption using lattice-based cryptography to protect against quantum computing threats.
We run the infrastructure but never hold your keys or see your messages, and we keep as little metadata as possible.
A decentralized network of thousands of nodes across 140+ countries, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
The protocol automatically reroutes traffic if nodes go offline or network partitions occur.
Silentum isn't just an app; it's a stack. We've layered industry-standard protocols with custom-built metadata stripping layers.
Silentum's architecture ensures that cryptographic keys never leave your device. Our implementation of the Signal Protocol provides the gold standard of messaging security.
Each session uses a unique key, so a compromised key can't decrypt past communications.
All data residing on your mobile device is encrypted with AES-256 at rest.
Set Auto-Wipe timers so messages disappear from your device automatically.
We never ask for or upload your address book. You control your network.
Security is an investment in your digital future.
Our decentralized node network ensures that no matter where you are, your connection is fast, stable and private.

Silentum is a private communication app for voice calls, video calls and chat over the internet. It is operated by SyamsuR Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in India ("Silentum", "we", "us").
This policy explains what information we process when you use the Silentum Android app, our website at silentumai.com and our support channels (together, the "Service"), why we process it, and the choices you have. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we are the controller.
By using the Service you agree to the processing described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Silentum is built so that the content of your conversations stays between you and the people you talk to.
We keep the information we process to the minimum needed to connect your calls and messages and to run the Service.
Paid plans (Pro and Lifetime) are bought through Google Play. Google processes your payment. We receive only the information needed to confirm your purchase, such as the product, purchase token, order ID and subscription status. We never receive your card or bank details.
If you contact us, we process the information you send, such as your email address, your username and the content of your message, to answer you.
Your username, user ID and anything you choose to send in a conversation are visible to the people you communicate with. They can save, screenshot or forward what you send, so please share with care.
Silentum asks for device permissions only when you use the feature that needs them. You can change them at any time in your phone's settings.
| Permission | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Microphone | To make voice and video calls. |
| Camera | To make video calls and scan QR codes for secure discovery. |
| Notifications | To alert you to incoming calls and messages. |
| Nearby devices / Bluetooth | To use Bluetooth headsets and earbuds during calls. |
| Photos and files | Only if you choose to send a photo or file in a chat, where the app supports it. |
| Contacts and location | Not requested. Silentum does not access them. |
We use the information above only to:
Our legal basis. Under the DPDP Act we process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by using the Service and can withdraw at any time by deleting your account, and for legitimate uses permitted by law. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in securing and improving the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required.
Silentum runs on a global network, so your information may be processed on servers outside India or outside your country, including in Europe, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. When we transfer personal data, we take steps to protect it as required by applicable law, and we do not transfer it to any country restricted by the Government of India.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account information (user ID, public key, username) | Until you delete your account. Inactive Guest accounts are deleted after 12 months of inactivity. |
| Encrypted messages waiting for delivery | Until delivered, or 30 days at most. |
| Network and connection information | Only as long as needed to carry the connection and protect the Service against abuse |
| Call links and invite IDs | Until they expire or you revoke them. |
| Purchase records | As long as required by tax and accounting law, currently up to 8 years. |
| Support messages | 2 years after the request is closed. |
| Chats and call history | Only on your device, until you delete them or use Auto-Wipe. |
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Copies in backups are removed within 30 days.
We protect your information with end-to-end encryption using the Signal Protocol for messages, encrypted WebRTC with multi-hop routing for calls, perfect forward secrecy, and AES-256 encryption of data stored on your device. Access to our systems is restricted and monitored.
No system is completely secure. You also play a part: keep your phone's software up to date, use a screen lock, and keep your passcode private.
We cannot recover your passcode or keys. Because we never hold them, losing your passcode or your device may mean you permanently lose access to your account and conversations.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
To exercise a right, email support@silentumai.com with your username or user ID. We may ask you to confirm the request from inside the app to make sure it really is you. We respond within 30 days.
You can also manage your data directly in the app: clear your call history, delete chats, set Auto-Wipe timers, revoke call links and delete your account.
Silentum is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process personal data of children. If you believe a child is using Silentum, contact support@silentumai.com and we will delete the account.
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores only a few display preferences in your browser, such as your light or dark theme choice, which never leave your device. Details are in our Cookie Policy. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit.
We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and SyamsuR Technologies Private Limited ("Silentum", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Silentum app, our website and related services (the "Service").
By installing, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you. You may not use the Service if you have previously been banned from it, or if the law where you live prohibits you from using it.
We cannot reset or recover your passcode or encryption keys. If you forget your passcode or lose your device, you may permanently lose access to your account and messages. We are not responsible for that loss.
Silentum lets you make voice calls, video calls and send messages over the internet, with end-to-end encryption. To use it you need a compatible device and an internet connection; data charges from your mobile or internet provider may apply.
Call quality and delivery depend on your network, your device and the network of the person you are contacting, so we cannot guarantee that every call will connect or every message will be delivered. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Silentum is not a replacement for your phone service and cannot be used to call emergency services such as 112, 100, 101, 102, 108 or 911. Always make emergency calls through your mobile network or a landline.
Privacy is not a licence to harm others. You agree not to use the Service to:
You own the messages, media and other content you send. Because the Service is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot see that content and do not monitor it. You are solely responsible for what you send.
You can report a user or block them from the app. When you report a conversation, the messages you choose to include are sent to us so we can review them. Based on reports and the limited information we hold, we may warn, restrict, suspend or ban accounts that break these Terms.
If you record a call or capture content using any tool, you are responsible for getting the consent required by law from everyone involved. Do not record or share other people's conversations without their permission.
The Service, including the Silentum name, logo, app design and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose under these Terms. Parts of our software may be offered under open-source licences, and those licences take precedence for those parts.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
The Service relies on third parties such as Google Play and Firebase. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts other users, the Service or us at risk. If we end the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, will continue to apply.
We work hard to keep Silentum secure and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, or that it will meet your specific needs. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Silentum and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or access, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of access caused by a forgotten passcode or lost device.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 1,000.
You agree to compensate and protect Silentum from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service or your violation of anyone else's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Subject to that, the courts in India having jurisdiction over our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, that does not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@silentumai.com.

Your account is deactivated straight away and you are signed out on that device.
If you no longer have the app or cannot log in, email us and we will delete your account for you.
Include your username and, if you have it, your user ID. Because Silentum accounts do not use a phone number or email, we may ask you to confirm the request in a way only the account owner can, such as from the app on a device where you are still signed in. If we cannot verify ownership, the account will be deleted automatically after 12 months of inactivity.
We confirm deletion requests by email within 7 days.
Your username becomes available to others after 90 days.
| Step | Timing |

Lifetime purchases are not refundable on deletion unless required by law or Google Play's refund policy.
Uninstalling the app removes data from your device but does not delete your account from our servers.
Email support@silentumai.com with "Account deletion" in the subject. We reply within 7 days. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.

This Cookie Policy explains how SyamsuR Technologies Private Limited ("Silentum", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage on our website, silentumai.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The Silentum mobile app does not use browser cookies. How the app handles data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps small pieces of information on your device. Both can be "first-party" (set by the site you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another service the site uses).
We keep this to the minimum needed for the website to work well.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
silentum-theme | First-party local storage, strictly necessary | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear your browser data |
silentum-cookie-notice | First-party local storage, strictly necessary | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. | Until you clear your browser data |
silentum-app-bar | First-party session storage, strictly necessary | Remembers that you closed the "Get the app" bar on mobile. | Until you close the browser tab |
| Google Fonts | Third-party request, no cookies | Loads the fonts used on the site. Google receives your IP address and browser details to deliver them. | Not stored by us |
These settings never leave your device and are not used to identify or track you. We do not set any cookies.
Strictly necessary storage, like the settings above, does not require consent because the feature you asked for depends on it. If we ever add non-essential cookies, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
If you clear site data, the website will simply forget these settings: it follows your device theme and shows the cookie notice again.
We will update this page if the cookies we use change, and revise the "Last updated" date above.
